I’m a Toronto-based food content creator, podcaster, workshop facilitator, and non-practicing nutritionist.
I spent much of my career in a corporate marketing environment, and some long-term health issues led me to re-evaluate my lifestyle, including taking a look at what I ate. I found that small changes in my diet made a significant difference in how I felt daily. Intending to learn more about what was (at the time) considered alternative healthcare, I quit my job and went to school to study Holistic Nutrition. This decision changed my health, my life, and my outlook on food.
Along the way, I completed the Specialty Baking program at the Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts and the Culinary Nutrition in the Kitchen program at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition.
In Toronto (Canada) where I live, there are a plethora of food options to choose from: farmer’s markets, grocery stores, stores that specialize in ingredients & cuisines from around the world, fast food, ‘healthier’ fast food, fine dining and so much more. It’s a lot, and when you add in all of the health & nutrition articles, blogs, social media feeds it can be overwhelming. What should you choose? Is it healthy? How do I cook meals at home? How do I make it work within my budget? These are all questions I’ve been asked and I’m here to help! Let’s make cooking & eating at home simple, delicious and enjoyable! Wait…but what if you don’t want to cook every single meal at home? That’s okay too. Let’s talk about it.
